"Everything Is Bigger in Texas" - Rapper Considers Moving If Biden's Tax Hike Takes Effect

(UnitedReader.com) – It’s a phrase people commonly hear: “Everything’s bigger in Texas.” But is everything better, as well? One renowned rapper seems to think so, particularly in light of his recent concerns over Biden’s proposed tax plan.

Hip-hop artist, actor, and New York businessman Curtis Jackson III, also known as “50 Cent,” recently spoke out about Biden’s plan to raise taxes to pay for his beloved $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill. Like other high wage earners, he faces serious tax increases if Biden gets his way. But 50 Cent doesn’t want to find himself reduced to 20 Cent and says he’ll move to Texas, where there is no state income tax if Biden’s tax plan passes.

On September 23, 50 Cent made an appearance on “The Beat with Ari Melber” and spoke about Biden’s tax plan. While speaking with Melber, Jackson mentioned he didn’t realize he’d be paying more than half of his income back to the IRS with a 62% income tax. The world-famous rapper and New York native asserted that his home city would undergo a lot of changes if Biden implemented the plan. He noted that, much like Silicon Valley, many New Yorkers would likely move to Texas to avoid the tax hike.

Jackson told Melber that he plans to move to Texas if the hike happens, jokingly adding that he has his cowboy hat ready. 50 Cent had previously criticized Biden’s plan to increase taxes dating back to when he was only a candidate in the 2020 election. In a social media post before the election, Jackson stated that he was voting for Trump due to Biden’s tax on the wealthy.
