"A Wimp Fest": Kennedy Destroys Biden’s Response to Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine

(UnitedReader.com) – President Biden is only in his second year of being the leader of the free world. He’s already made somewhat of a reputation for himself, but not many people would agree it’s a good one. Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) is certainly among those who feel Biden has been a disaster, calling his response to the ongoing conflict in Eastern Europe “a wimp fest.”

The senator’s comments came during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity. Kennedy was sharing his thoughts about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s US Congress address, pointing to where the leader asserted he didn’t need American planes or even troops; he just needed surface-to-air missiles and aircraft from US allies.

Kennedy mentioned that Ukraine is more than capable of holding its ground, as the country has proven. He admitted that President Zelenskyy’s forces need air support, mentioning the Ukrainian leader’s statement. The Republican criticized the president, exposing a pattern Biden has fallen into in which he tells Zelenskyy he’ll get back to him, but he never does.

The Senator also condemned Biden for not standing up to Putin, namely by cutting off the income Russia receives from exporting gas and oil. Kennedy mentioned other countries could get their oil and gas from the United States, but Biden added there’s a wrench in the gears. Democrats won’t allow Biden to adopt the necessary energy policies, and the president is too scared to stand up to Putin.

Kennedy isn’t the only person tired of Biden’s weak response. President Zelenskyy switched to English at the end of his speech to Congress and addressed Biden personally, asserting that being the leader of the world means being the leader of peace. Much of the GOP and many Americans have been critical of the president, claiming he’s not being the leader he needs to be during this difficult time.
