(UnitedReader.com) – It’s been over a year since President Biden took his oath of office. Just two weeks before that, Trump supporters protested at the Capitol, with some eventually gaining access to the congressional building. The events on January 6, 2021 are still under investigation as Democrats issue more subpoenas, including one to Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell.
The House Committee subpoenaed several Trump campaign attorneys on January 18, including Jenna Ellis, Boris Epshteyn, Giuliani and Powell. The congressional team investigating the January 6 incident claims all of these people pushed false claims linked to Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

The subpoena was more extensive for Giuliani, a former New York City mayor. The House Committee believes Trump’s personal lawyer could provide them with some insight into the former president’s mindset around the time of January 6. Giuliani’s subpoena also covers his false claims and accusations surrounding the 2020 election. The investigative body of the House Committee also accuses the former Trump advisor of attempting to convince state lawmakers to overturn election results.
Powell’s subpoena comes from allegations of spreading conspiracy theories about the voting machines from the 2020 election. Like others the committee subpoenaed, Powell’s focuses on alleged, false statements she made.
Several members of Trump’s former administration have become targets of the Select Committee, including Mark Meadows and Steve Bannon, both of whom have rejected the subpoenas filed against them.
