(UnitedReader.com) – President Biden’s Build Back Better (BBB) agenda may be a favorite among Democrats, but when it comes to Republicans, the plan is anything but popular. Representative Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) recently blew up on the House floor blasting Biden’s plan.
McCarthy ripped into the Biden administration and the Democratic-led Congress mentioning the storm of catastrophes America has survived. He talked about Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, the border crisis, America’s supply chain problems, the increasing inflation and several other topics. He asked the House a straightforward question: What is the common factor in all of America’s current issues? McCarthy’s answer was Democratic leadership in a single year.

McCarthy’s rant didn’t end after ripping into Democratic leadership. The Republican continued his assault, turning his focus to Biden’s BBB agenda. McCarthy called the plan reckless and irresponsible, claiming no administration has ever spent so much money in American history. The Republican added that there’s never been an increase in taxes and borrowing to pay for the plan is rash and excessive.
McCarthy highlighted some points he thought were the worst parts of the bill. He brought attention to the “Heat Your Home Tax,” which he said could increase the gas bills of Americans by $242 per year and wipe out 90,000 jobs in the process. McCarthy also talked about the provision to hire thousands of Internal Revenue Service employees to spy on Americans.
The Republican added that Biden’s Build Back Better plan would only worsen the problems the Democratic Party has already created in America.
