Mexican Drug Cartel Leaves 11 Dead In Horrifying Hotel Attack

Mexican Cartel Resorts To Brutal Terrorist Tactics In Fatal Mass Shooting

(UnitedReader.com) – Gang violence has become a way of life in many Mexican cities, where drug cartels run the streets, and even law enforcement is either too scared or too corrupt to do anything. The latest casualties, which include three men and seven women in Celaya, Guanajuato according to a local news outlet, were scattered between the Hotel Gala and two nearby bars.

Gang members either doused the buildings with gasoline or threw bombs after assaulting the locations with gunfire. Officials say around 15 hooded men swarmed the area at around 10 p.m. and participated in the assault. They managed to set all three establishments on fire.

Cartel members also left behind two large bags containing human body parts.

Authorities say that one woman attempted to flee one of the burning buildings, only to receive a deadly gunshot wound right outside. Two other victims are currently in critical condition.

Breitbart reports that Molotov cocktails were likely involved. Although the hotel sustained only burns to part of its exterior, both bars suffered severe fire damage.

The Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel left a note taking responsibility for all three deaths. Its deadly attack was apparently an act of retaliation against the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.

Cartels have turned many of Mexico’s cities into their personal battlegrounds. Innocent bystanders continue to suffer injuries and lose their lives in the crossfire. The neverending violence worsens with every passing day. How long until the war establishes itself north of the border?
